Everyday millions of students are exposed to physical and sexual abuse, natural and technological disasters, transportation accidents, invasive medical procedures, community violence, peer violence, violence in the home, bullying, parent’s expectation, assault, and terrorism.
Students are victim of trauma from very childhood ages. Unfortunately, the emotional impact of exposure to trauma on children is often neglected and therefore untreated, and yet the impact of exposures to disaster and violence is profound and long-lasting.
Thus, neglected trauma effects are developing deep suicidal depressions in students. Every hour there is an incident of student suicide in India.
So, we encourage every school to have a platform to facilitate students and their closed ones to speak up so that school can address those cases with right competent to improve physical and mental well-being of students.
Our Safe School initiative aims at developing a platform to record any incidents related to the physical and mental well-being of students in school and a workflow to address these with the right competent authority of the school. This would help the school to have an electronic record of the entire case management and would go a long way in improving the safety and security of the students.
